I have an advertisement of the opening of Caroline Grover's shop. Some here in stored boxes are letters from out there. Caroline did not stay in Wisconsin very long. I could not locate a census for that area of Wisconsin in 1840 was still a territory--Lucy M. Brown, Letter (3 Mar 1984) to Mr. Fred Rolfe, Jr. 'of Rockford, Iowa'--Fred Rolfe 'REv Alvin Plumley at the age of 11 united with the Baptist Church. He was ordained in Orangeville Baptist Church as a young man. He preached in Ohio, Iowa, Wisconsin, and N.Y. Was a life member of the Iowa State Convention. He was appointed Chap ain in Lincoln Hospital, Washington, D.C; and as Chaplain in Alexandria, Va. The Baptist Church in Goldfield, Iowa was the 10th he had been instrumental in building.'-- Mrs. Ripstein, letter to Gary Rolph.1
