He is survived by his wife, Helen Ridley; three daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda Stanley of Dalton, Becky and Jim Lovain of Tunnel Hill and Deborah and Charlie Garrett of McDonald; four sons and daughters-in-law, Gary Ridley of Dalton, Jeff and Michelle Ridley of Chatsworth, Johnny and Kaye Henry and Mike and Kathryn Henry of Ooltewah; sisters, Kathleen Byers, Betty Byers, Margie Medders and Francis Rogers, all of Dalton; brother, Rev. Samuel Eugene Ridley of Dalton; 14 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. The funeral service to honor the life of Loyd Ridley will be held Thursday, January 31, at 1 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home. Burial will be at Treadwell - Ridley Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, January 30 from 5-9 p.m. Julian Peeples Funeral Home, Pleasant Grove Chapel, Dalton, is in charge of funeral arrangements.¹
