Esram Aaron Weaver was Marriage; Person Source.2,3 Unrecognized GEDCOM data: Unknown GEDCOM tag: _UID D35E5B90E4EC54489D49FBB2F981AA1554B3. Esram Aaron Weaver was also known as Isram Weaver. He was born circa 1816 at Cabarrus County, North Carolina.1 He married Elizabeth Seemone on 8 July 1839 at Cabarrus County, North Carolina.1 He married Catherine Simmone at Cabarrus County, North Carolina, on 5 May 1846.4 Esram Aaron Weaver died circa 1891 at Cabarrus County, North Carolina; Includes NotesNotes for Esram Aaron Weaver:
Esram Weaver can be proven as a brother of George Monroe Weaver through the use of an estate settlement receipt for him dated cir. 1891 in the possession of Ernest Weaver. This receipt gave a share of his estate to George Henry Weaver and his two sisters. His middle name Aron is found in an estate settlement of his wife's father's estate. He is listed on the 1840 census in Cabarrus Co. as Isram Weaver, head of household with 1 male at least 20 but under 30, and one female at least 20 but under 30. The Rev. Samuel Rothrock lists in his diary of March 30, 1844 that he preached the funeral of "Esram Weaver's wife" that day at Lowerstone Ch. in German but there is no record of where she was buried. In 1846, Esram Weaver married Catherine Seamon and I believe that she was a sister of Elizabeth because in the 1860 census, Eve Seamon is listed as a member of his household. In the 1850 Census, Esram is living in Cabarrus Co. next to Peter and Eve Seamon (his in-laws) along with his second wife, Catherine and Tobias Weaver (his brother) who is then 12 yrs old. There is no real estate value listed. In 1860, Esram, Catherine, Eve Seamon, John House (age 15), and Ann Weaver (age 8) are living in this household. These two children are described in the census as being "bound". Real estate value is listed as $900 so one can assume that Peter Seamon has died and his estate has been settled with Catherine Seamon Weaver and her husband receiving some settlement. The post office location in this year is listed as Mt. Pleasant. I do not know who John House or Ann Weaver are but one can assume that they are relatives who have been placed with Esram to learn a trade which in this case must be farming since that is his occupation.
I have found the family of Daniel House living in Rowan Co. next to Elizabeth Leazer Smith in the 1850 census. They have a son named John listed as being five years old. I checked marriage records for Daniel Smith and he married Leah Smith who may be kind to Elizabeth Smith's husband. In 1860 census, Leah House and her daughter, Margaret, are living with the Daniel Stirewalt family where she is keeping house (Salisbury P.O.) There is no record of her husband Daniel House so he must have died and John was placed with Esram since I do not believe that this John House was her child since she and her husband did not marry until 1845. On the 1870 census, Esram is still in Cabarrus Co./Concord P.O. Members of his household are Esram, Catherine, Elizabeth Lippard (age 65), Anna Weaver (age 16, probably same child as in 1860 census), and Daniel Weaver (age 9). This Daniel Weaver is Daniel Monroe Weaver s/o Reuben Paul Weaver. 1880 census shows Esram living in Cabarrus Co./Faggarts TSP #6 with his wife, Esrom M. (Milo Weaver s/o Reuben Paul) listed as nephew, Daniel M. (s/o Reuben Paul) listed as nephew, and Margaret Bost (age 21) listed as "hired". There are no 1890 census records, so this is the last record for Esram Weaver that I have other than the receipt for the settlement of his estate. I do not know where he is buried or when or where his wife, Catherine, is buried. Esram is the oldest known sibling for George Monroe Weaver that I have knowledge of.1
