Contemporary with this family there was living in the Eastern part of East Hartford a branch of the Damon family whose names appear upon the records of East Hartford and adjoining towns as Demmon, and sometimes as Deming. To ad to the confusion, one of these men was named Timothy Damon (or Deming as it often appears).3

guardian to Joseph and Mary Mygatt, children of the deceased, have
agreed to distribute or divide the estate to Elizabeth Stephens alias
Mygatt, to Jacob, to Joseph, to Mary and to Sarah Mygatt. on 23 March 1726/27 at Danbury, Fairfield County, Connecticut.2 He married Elizabeth Butler at Hartford, Hartford County, Connecticut, on 19 November 1730.3 Jacob died in 1748 at East Hartford, Hartford County, Connecticut.3
