However, the Eugene Rolph that married in 1893 could not be the son of Eugene Rolph that was not married in 1880! The names of the wives are from one source, but that source did not connect the wives to the children! Since Lizzie Jones died in 1889, I have posited that she is the mother of Jessie; and that Margaret ? is the wife of the 1893 marriage and the mother of Herbert, George, and Maud.6 Eugene A. Rolph died on 26 November 1929 at Joplin, Liberty County, Montana, at age 67; Montana is where two of Eugene's children are listed as farmers in 1920 census.1,7

Jessie Rolph was born on 7 July 1886 at Wisconsin.2,3 Jessie and Maud was listed as a daughter in Eugene A. Rolph's household on the 1900 Census at Enumeration District 126, Union, Waupaca County, Wisconsin; 136 136 Rolph Eugene head white male Nov 1861 38 married 7 yrs WI NY NY farmer can read write speak English own mortgaged farm; Maggie wife white female Apr 1871 29 married 7 yrs 3 children 3 living WI MA Ireland can read write speak English; George son white male Nov 1881 18 single WI WI WI farm laborer can read write speak English; Jessie daughter white female Jul 1886 13 single WI WI WI 8 months in school can read write speak English; Herbert son white male May 1894 6 single WI WI WI 8 months in school can read write speak English; Maud daughter white female Nov 1895 4 single WI WI WI; Willis son white male Oct 1897 2 single WI WI WI; Kenfield Benjamin nephew whie male Dec 1888 11 single WI WI WI boarder 8 months in school can read write speak English.4 As of between 1906 and 1908,her married name was Haigh.1 She married James Aaron Haigh at Wisconsin between 1906 and 1908.1,5 Jessie Rolph and Eugene A. Rolph Some sources have Eugene Rolph both as father and as son. However, the Eugene Rolph that married in 1893 could not be the son of Eugene Rolph that was not married in 1880! The names of the wives are from one source, but that source did not connect the wives to the children! Since Lizzie Jones died in 1889, I have posited that she is the mother of Jessie; and that Margaret ? is the wife of the 1893 marriage and the mother of Herbert, George, and Maud.6 Jessie Rolph died in January 1986 at Fargo, Cass County, North Dakota, at age 99.3
