I have an advertisement of the opening of Caroline Grover's shop. Some here in stored boxes are letters from out there. Caroline did not stay in Wisconsin very long. I could not locate a census for that area of Wisconsin in 1840 was still a territory--Lucy M. Brown, Letter (3 Mar 1984) to Mr. Fred Rolfe, Jr. Caroline Grover, maiden aunt of Maude's lived with sister, Corinia Grover Mack. Caroline was liked by children; told them good stories. Once visited Alden Grover at Evanston, Illinois, when he was a widower. Caroline was 'uppity' and would not marry Alden.' -- Lucy Brown.1
