     Thomas Olmsted was born on 10 August 1692 at Hartford, Hartford County, Connecticut; s of Thomas and Hannah (Mix) Olmsted. His grandmother, Rebecca Mix, was dau of Cap Nathaniel Turner, the noted Indian fighter.2 He married Anne Webster at Hartford, Hartford County, Connecticut, on 21 February 1716.2 Samuel Webster mentioned Thomas Olmsted in a will on 29 November 1738 at Hartford, Hartford County, Connecticut; By Will dated Nov 29 1738, Samuel Webster of Hartford bequeathed to his wife Elizabeth his dwelling house; his other property to cousin Ebenezer Webster's two eldest sons, viz: Matthew and Medad; and to his cousin, Samuel Webster, and to his cousin Ann, wife of Thomas Olmstead, and tohis cousin Ebenezer Webster whom he constituted executor. An inventory was taken Feb 15 1744.3 He died on 18 August 1759 at West Hartford, Hartford County, Connecticut, at age 67.2

He was born on 2 November 1759 at Rowan County, North Carolina.3 Philip Miller was also known as John Philip Miller "His tombstone lists him as John P Miller, the only record to show the name John" Page-Frick.4,5 He 'On the day Philip Miller left for the Revolutionary War at 18 years of age he planted a Chestnut tree on the Miller Plantation. The tree stood for over a hundred years. It was a landmark of the town of Rockwell.' Heritage of Rowan County.4 He married Mrs. Sybilla Fisher circa 1786 at Rowan County, North Carolina.6 Philip Miller married Mrs. Sybilla Fisher circa 1787 at Rowan County, North Carolina.7 "Philip is not an heir in Wendel's will but is a co-executor. Wendel deeded to Philip on 5 Mar 1802 253 acres on Second Dutch Creek adjoining the land of Nicholas Miller. This was possibly an inheritance. Earlier on 10 Jun 1797 Philip bought 44 acres adjoing the land of Jacob and David Kluttz fom Martin Kluttz. Philip sold land to his sons: Martin and JOhn in 1824, Jacob in 1833, and Peterin 1834. After his death in 1835, his heirs sold their share inthe remaining property toDaniel." between 10 June 1797 and 1835 at Rowan County, North Carolina.5 Philip and Johann was listed as John Jacob Miller's neighbor on the 1800 Census at Rowan County, North Carolina; John Miller Junr 1 male 26-44 (John); 1 female 0-9 (Mary 2); 1 female 16-25 (Elizabeth). This would indicate that perhaps Christina was not a child of John and Elizabeth (Gary Oct 04).8 Johann Wendell Müller mentioned Philip Miller in a will on 17 November 1804 at Rowan County, North Carolina; "Wendel's will (given in full below) included these provisions:

To his wife Christina -- the Negro girl named Polly, one bed and furniture, one spinning wheel, one iron pot, one pewter dish, six plates and six spoons, the choice of one horse, saddle, and bridle, the choice of one cow, and one room in the house for her own use When his youngest son, David, comes of age Wendel's sons George and Henry are directed to give Christina yearly 3 bushels of wheat 5 bushels of corn 50 pounds of beef, and 25 pounds of pork.

9. The Negro woman, Patt, is to be hired out yarly for the benefit of the estate.
10. When son, David, becomes of age, all Wendell's property is to be sold, the above named sums are to be paid, wife Christina is to receive 100 dollars, and the rest to be divided equally among his children, step-daughter Elizabeth excepted.
Executors are George Henry Berger, wife Christina, and son Philip. They are empowered to make deeds for the land willed to George and Henry.

In the name of God, Amen.
I, Wendle Miller, of Rowan County and State of N. Carolina, being in sound mind and memory, but weak in body, and knowing that it is appointed unto all men once to die, have thought proper to dispose of my worldly property, with which it has pleased God to bless me, in the following manner, Viz:
1. I give and bequeath to my dearly beloved wife, Christina, one negro girl named Polly, to be her own property as long as my wife shall remain widow, further I give to my wife, Christina, one bed and furniture, one spinning wheel, one iron pot, one pewter dish, six plates and six spoons, the choice of one horse, saddle and bridle, the choice of one cow. It is also my will that my wife shall have and one room in the house wherein I now live, for her own use. The above mentioned articles are to be delivered to my wife whenever my youngest son, David, becomes of age. It is further my will that from the time when my son David comes of age, my son George and Henry shall give unto my wife, Christina, yearly each of them, three bushels of wheat, five bushels of corn, fifty pounds of beef, and twenty five pounds of pork.
2. I give and bequeath to my son Peter, three hundred and sixty Spanish Milled Dollars.
3. I give and bequeath to my son David, the sum of three hundred and fifty Spanish Milled Dollars.
4. I give and bequeath to my sons George and Henry, my plantation whereon I now live, to be divided amongst them in equal shares, so as my son George shall have the lower part, and my son Henry the upper part with the improvements.
5. I give and bequeath to my daughters Catharina, Anna Maria, Susana, Philippina, Elizabeth, Sarah, Rachel, and Christina, to each and every one of them, the sum of one hundred Spanish Milled Dollars. But as my son-in-law, John Brown, has received from me sixty dollars, for which I have a receipt from under his hand, it is my will that these sixty dollars shall be deducted from the above mentioned sum willed to his wife, Catharina and she is only to get forty dollars more.
6. I give and bequeath to my son, Frederick, the sum of twenty five Spanish Milled Dollars.
7. I give and bequeath to my son, John, twenty Spanish Milled Dollars.
8. I give and bequeath to the Second Creek Congregation the sum of fifty dollars. It is further my will, that the negro woman, Patt, shall be hired out yearly for the benefit of my estate; and it is also my will that there shall be no vendue made until my son, David, becomes of age, all my property shall be sold, and the money arising from that sale shall be divided into equal shares amongst all my children, my step-daughter Elizabeth excepted, provided that before this distribution takes place the above mentioned sums are paid and also one hundred dollars to my wife, Christina.
It is my will also, that my wife Christina, shall have the power to furnish out of my estate those of my children which are yet unmarried at the time of their marriage with the same articles with which my married children have been furnished; and if at the time when the above distributions take place any of my children are single yet, they shall be provided for and furnished in the same manner.
It is further my will that if any building or repairs of buildings is necessary it shall be paid out of my estate.
I make, ordain and constitute my friend George Henry Berger, my wife, Christina, and son Philip, Executors of this will, and I empower them to make deeds to my sons George and Henry for the land herein willed. Then I declare this to be my last will and testament and pronounce all others null and void.

He was called to Fairfield in 1788, was ordained in 1789, and resigned in 1844. between 1788 and 1844 at Fairfield Township, Cumberland County, New Jersey.3 He married Elizabeth "Sally" Riley at Bridgeton, Cumberland County, New Jersey, on 18 September 1794.3 Capt John Osborn mentioned Ethan Osborn in a will on 7 May 1802 at Litchfield, Litchfield County, Connecticut; John Osborn of Litchfield in is wil dated May 7 1802,and proved Jan 31 1814,names his wife Lois, sons Eliada, John Jr and Ethan, and daughters Rebeckah Seymour, Elizabeth Marsh, Anne Riley, and Thalis Kilborn. Anne Riley was deceased at he time ofthe final distribution of the estate Apr 5 1820.3 He witnessed Elizabeth "Sally" Osborn's death at Fairfield Township, Cumberland County, New Jersey, on 9 October 1817. Ethan and both wives are buired in the Old Stone Church cemetery. This cemetery is located on he west side of the Cumberland County Route 553, about 1 1/2 miles south of Fairton,and surrounds the church. Thje Fairfield Presbyterian Church was organized in 1680. The stone building, the "Old Stone Church," was built in 1780. The congregation moved to Fairton in 1850..3 He married Esther Foster at Pittsgrove, Salem County, New Jersey, on 8 May 1822.3,5 Ethan Osborn died on 1 May 1858 at Fairfield Township, Cumberland County, New Jersey, at age 99; aged 99.8.10.3 He was buried at Old Stone Church Cemetery, Cumberland County, New Jersey.1 He , p. 58 - Ethan and both wives are buried in the Old STone Ch Cemetery (This cem is located on the west side of Route 553 Cumberland County, about 1 1/2 miles south of Fairton, and surrounds the church. The Fairfield Presbyterian Ch was organized in 1680. The stone building, the 'Old Stone Church' was built in 1780. The congregation movedd to Fairton in 1850. Ethan Osborn served in the Revolution (Stryker, p. 708 who says from Essex County which seems doubtful). He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1784 and was licensed to preach in 1786. he was called to Fairfield in 1788, was ordained in 1789 and resigned in 1844.1

     Elizabeth "Sally" Riley was born on 30 January 1775 at Bridgeton, Cumberland County, New Jersey.2,1 Her married name was Osborn.3 She married Ethan Osborn at Bridgeton, Cumberland County, New Jersey, on 18 September 1794.2 Elizabeth died on 9 October 1817 at Fairfield Township, Cumberland County, New Jersey, at age 42. Ethan and both wives are buired in the Old Stone Church cemetery.
