Mrs. E.H. Hazelton died Sunday at 5:30 p.m., from the effects of a paralytic stroke, at the home of her son Newton, in this city.
Serepta McIntyre was born Sept. 12, 1851, in Huron County, Ohio. When three years of age she came with her parents to Michigan, and settled on a farm in Aurelius. On May 1, 1866, she was united in marriage to Ewin Hazelton. Four children were born to them; Newton T. of this city; Frank E. of Virginia Beach, Va; Mrs. H. J. Ketchum of Joliet, Ill., and Mrs. Clara Marshall of Spokane, Wash.
Two years ago last March she suffered a stroke of paralysis and has never been strong since. About ta year ago she suffered a second stroke.
Mr. and Mrs. Hazelton lived on a farm west of Eden for thirty-one years. In October, 1912, they moved to Mason and lived with their son Newton. Besides her husband and four children, she leaves three brothers, five grandchildrena and a number of friends to mourn her death.
The funeral, was held in this city Tuesday at one p.m., Rev. Newberry officiating, and she was laid to rest in the Aurelius cemetery.

Obituary listed on second day mention Clara as being Mrs. Floyd Marshall. Also: At the age of thiry she united withthe Baptist church of Aurelius, but later united withthe M. E. Church at Eden, as that place was nearer her home.1
